Postpartum Support in NYC: Gentle Beginnings x Gluck Psychology Collaboration for New Families
Gentle Beginnings Collective & Gluck Psychology Collective: A Collaboration Built for New Families
The postpartum period is one of the most profound and sometimes most overwhelming seasons of life. A new parent's body is healing, their identity is shifting, their baby needs them around the clock, and somewhere in the middle of all of that, mental health deserves just as much care as the new little person in their arms.
That's exactly why Gentle Beginnings Collective and Gluck Psychology Collective are thrilled to announce a new collaboration, one built around the belief that new and expecting families deserve support for the whole picture, not just one piece of it.
Who Is Gentle Beginnings Collective?
Gentle Beginnings Collective is a collective of experienced postpartum doulas and newborn care specialists serving families across New York City and New Jersey. Founded by Mia McCue, the collective is united by a shared passion for nurturing new parents through thoughtful, nonjudgmental, in-home support rooted in care, connection, and expertise.
Services include emotional support, newborn care education, feeding guidance (breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and formula), and practical in-home help like light housekeeping, sibling care, and meal prep — supporting not just the baby, but the whole family through the early postpartum weeks.
Who Is Gluck Psychology Collective?
Gluck Psychology Collective is a warm, modern therapy practice in Manhattan, New York, founded by Dr. Melissa Gluck and composed of a team of highly trained therapists serving Gen Z and Millennial adults across NYC and virtually throughout New York State. The practice specializes in individual therapy, couples therapy, EMDR therapy, group therapy, parent consultations, and support for major life transitions.
Gluck Psychology Collective helps clients navigate anxiety, burnout, relationship patterns, attachment concerns, identity exploration, family dynamics, and the emotional complexity that can come with pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, and becoming a parent. With an approach that is insight-driven, action-oriented, and deeply human, the practice offers therapy that feels warm, relatable, and grounded in real life rather than cold or overly clinical.
The team is known for creating a space where honest conversations happen, clients feel understood, and meaningful change becomes possible. Whether someone is moving through a life transition, feeling stuck in repeating patterns, or adjusting to parenthood, Gluck Psychology Collective offers support that is thoughtful, compassionate, and tailored to the realities of modern life in NYC.
Why This Partnership Makes Sense
Doula support and therapy are two sides of the same coin. Gentle Beginnings doulas are present in the home, in the thick of the early postpartum days, providing hands-on, practical, and emotional support right when families need it most. Gluck Psychology Collective's therapists help clients process the deeper emotional and psychological dimensions of that same transition.
Together, the two organizations offer new and expecting families a truly holistic circle of care addressing the body, the mind, and everything in between.
How the Collaboration Works
Gluck Psychology Collective clients receive access to a free prenatal or postpartum consultation when they book services with Gentle Beginnings. Whether a family is looking for a few visits of in-home support or ongoing care through the early weeks, Gentle Beginnings has a package to fit at a rate that makes it more accessible through this partnership.
Families referred by Gentle Beginnings Collective will receive 25% off their first three therapy sessions at Gluck Psychology Collective, offering added support during pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition into early parenthood.
