STARTING THERAPY IN NYC

Starting therapy shouldn’t feel like another thing you have to figure out.

Tell us what you’re looking for, and we’ll help you find the right therapist, schedule, and fee option.

Just a 15 minute chat. No commitment required.

THREE SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED

We make getting started as seamless as possible.

1

Tell us what you’re looking for

Book a free 15-minute consultation and share what’s been going on, what you want help with, and any preferences you have.

2

Get personally matched

We’ll recommend the therapist whose personality, experience, availability, and fee feel like the best fit. Personally matched, never randomly assigned.

Start therapy

Your therapist will reach out to schedule your first appointment. You’ll spend the first few sessions getting to know each other, understanding what brings you in, and deciding what you want therapy to help you change.

The right therapist matters. A lot.

You don’t need to scroll through dozens of profiles and figure it out alone. During your consultation, we’ll ask about:

What you want support with

The kind of personality you connect with

Whether you prefer virtual or in-person therapy

Your schedule and availability

Your insurance or budget

Any therapist preferences that matter to you

Then we’ll help you choose the person who genuinely makes sense for you.

THE FIRST THERAPY SESSION

You don’t need to come “prepared.”You don’t need to know what to say.

Your first session is a conversation, not a performance. Your therapist will guide you through it and ask about what has been happening, what feels difficult right now, and what you hope could feel different.

You do not have to share everything immediately. The first few sessions are about getting comfortable, understanding the bigger picture, and beginning to build a relationship that feels useful and honest.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The practical stuff, made easy.

INVESTING IN YOUR MENTAL HEALTH

Starting therapy is a big commitment—emotionally and financially.

Therapy is an investment in your well-being, just like your education, career, or physical health.

It’s not just about solving problems—it’s about creating long-term growth, breaking unhealthy patterns, and building a life that aligns with who you truly are.

When you invest in therapy, you’re choosing:

  • Better relationships

  • Clearer boundaries

  • More mental clarity and emotional balance

  • A deeper connection to yourself

It’s one of the most powerful acts of self-care you can do.
